Charity Shops
Cookstown Textile Recyclers (CTR) offers an attractive package to all prospective charity shop partners.
As well as obviously diverting textile waste from landfill and offering a reliable, courteous collection service, we make grants to the Escarpment Environment Conservation Network (ESCONET) which plants trees in the Great Rift Valley in Kenya and we deliver an education programme to primary school children.
Charities can be assured that all textiles collected from their outlets will be processed here in Ireland. We do not export jobs. From our state-of-the-art facility in County Antrim all processed materials are marketed and transported exclusively to reputable re-use/recycling outlets.
CTR, in accordance with the terms of our ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 accreditations, and Duty of Care obligations, can provide a clear audit trail for all textiles, which is, of course, open to the closest scrutiny and very attractive to charity shops.
